Teaching content and culture through proficiency-driven instruction

**NOTE**
The animations that I incorporated into Google Slides do not work in Nearpod, so all the images show at one time. If this doesn’t bother you, great! If you would like it present differently, feel free to edit. Once you make a copy, it’s YOURS! 🙂

Have you wanted to use Nearpod but didn’t know where to begin?

Here is your chance – a free resource that will complement Somos 1 Unit 3. (It also works very well as a stand-alone lesson). There are vocab pre-teaching slides, videos, polls, an infographic, collaboration boards, and an embedded reading that you can download here.

This is another slideshow that I created with Slidesgo.com. So easy to use and they have a plethora of ready-made slides to choose from. You can get lost down the rabbit hole of just admiring all the beautiful presentation-ready slides!

I’ve used this movie short at many different times of the year, but it is especially poignant in November when we are focusing on being grateful.

Here is a link to make a copy of the Google Slides. You will need to add the Nearpod add-on.

Then, when you open the add-on, you will want to select ‘Save and Go to Nearpod’:

Once in Nearpod, you will need to create an account if you don’t already have one. Then simply select how you want to use the file: as a Live Participation + Zoom, Live Participation, or Student-Paced.

And there you are – a ready to go resource to help you make it through November. Download your copy here.

Please, please, please, if you find an error or have a suggestion, just let me know! I’m far from perfect and love feedback.

Happy teaching!

**A very special thanks to my collab pals Danielle Hodge and Kristi Burns. Without these two women keeping me sane and providing shoulders to cry on, I would never have the creative energy to make shareable resources. Thank you, my friends. You are so very dear to me!!**
