El Día de la Amistad: a Valentine Lesson

This year for Valentine’s Day, we are focusing on friendship love rather than romantic love. I have used this video for years because it is adorable, the song is a total ear worm, and…. well, it’s adorable!

Typically, I will show the video, ask a few questions and move on to some sort of “speed dating” type activity. This year, of course, we can’t be close enough for close contact activities, so I expanded my lesson.

I started this last week with my level 1’s because I knew they would need a ton more support and a slower pace. I will start with my 2’s tomorrow. We’ve been focusing on my crime unit and this will be a nice change of pace for them.
